- 1 cup masa harina (corn flour)
- 1 cup hot chicken stock
- 1/2 cup lard, cut into small pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Below is a recipe for the most delicious corundas. The recipe is very simple and you can prepare it in no time. Watch the video for a step-by-step preparation. This video will guide you to a delicious meal.
- If using dried husks, soak them in a large dish of boiling water for 1 hour or until softened.
- Remove from the bowl and press out any excess water gently.
- In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine masa harina and water. Add chicken stock while beating on low speed, then increase to medium-high and beat for 5 minutes.
- Gradually add the lard and salt, then continue to beat for about 10 minutes, or until the dough is soft and light.
- 2 tbsp baking powder, dissolved in 2 tbsp water, added to dough.
- Mix on high speed for 5 minutes, or until the dough is frothy.
- Cut 6 corn husks in half lengthwise to make corundas.
- Place a husk on the work area, concave side up, with the wide end closest to you.
- 2 tablespoons dough, 1/2 inch in from wide end.
- Fold the lower left-hand corner on an angle to enclose the dough and form a triangle. Fold the package in half and then straight up toward the end. Fold the triangular shape again at an angle, as if you were folding a flag.
- To keep the corunda closed, tuck the end into the last fold.
- Repeat the process until you've completed it.
- Place corundas upright in the top of a steamer lined with the remaining 2 corn husks, leaning them against one another.
- Place the steamer over a high-heat saucepan of simmering water.
- Cover with a tight-fitting lid and steam for 1 hour, or until the husks easily separate from the filling.
- Serve hot or warm.
